Saw a preview of Disneynature's Oceans last night. It was fantastic, great photography, great Bruno Coulais score, everything. I'm starting to think the best way to save Hollywood is to turn it over to the French.

The screening took forever to get started, so I doodled this while waiting:

I may color it later to see what it looks like. If it turns out I'll post it here.

Also, on Thursday night I was privileged to catch a preview of the upcoming 20th Century auction at Bonham's & Butterfields and attend a Q&A/Panel with Michael Deeley and Syd Mead about design aesthetics in Blade Runner (a few BR pieces are up for auction).

met SYD MEAD on Twitpic

It was a great night and I'm proud to say I got to meet both of them. The collection was amazing as well; mostly mid-century furniture & ceramics, but some art too, and I was smitten by these Elisabeth Sonrel lithographs and this Emmanuel Villanis bust.

I don't really need my Roth IRA, do I?
